Welcome! We do our best here to provide a smooth, happy transaction for you. 

Please read the following policies before placing an order.

By buying an item from our shop, we assume you agree with the policies and information below and linked in the description of each item.

Conditions of Return:
All items must be returned unworn in their original gift box to qualify for a refund or exchange. Postage and adequate insurance is the responsibility of the buyer. Please do not send anything back without notifying us first.  Please allow up to 10 days after we receive your exchange/ return for processing.
Orders are usually packaged and go out the same day or the next business day. 
Shipping times average 3 days in the US and 14 days outside the USA.

All of our jewelry is individually packaged in a Birdhouse Jewelry branded jewelry box and we will happily include a gift note.
We never include a printed receipt, so your jewelry is ready to be presented right out of the package.
Giftboxed items are mailed in bubble-lined mailing envelopes or small cardboard boxes, with the printed shipping label sticker affixed to the front. 

All items shipping to a USA address are giftwrapped and shipped via USPS with a delivery confirmation tracking number trackable at   You can add insurance and signature at delivery to your shipment for a small fee; contact us by telephone to order and we will be happy to add those 2 extra services for $4.
Incorrect Address
Don't worry! Contact us right away and we will change the address on your shipping label. If your order has already shipped, it’s too late to change the address at that point. If the package is returned to sender, we will reship it to an address of your choice.

Unless you upgrade to USPS Global Express, items shipping to non-USA addresses are sent via airmail USPS with a customs form on them. The customs form number is not a tracking number, but tracking and signature upon delivery are available with an upgrade to USPS Global Express with average delivery time of 2 to 3 days. If you want your package to go via USPS Global Express, please contact us by telephone to order.

Standard shipping to the countries below has been unreliable. We highly recommend upgrading to USPS Global Express Shipping:
Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Russia, South Africa, China, Singapore, Greece, Italy, and India.

For orders over $200 shipping to a non USA address, we highly recommend upgrading to USPS Global Express Mail.
Lost packages without insurance cannot be refunded.  

Exact shipping times to non USA addresses cannot be guaranteed due to possible customs delays.
Customs fees and charges have nothing to do with your prepaid shipping costs, and are not covered in your purchase. These are assessed directly by your country and the actual cost is determined at their discretion.


Lost Package with Insurance
A lost USA-address package with tracking, insurance and signature at delivery will not be refunded until the insurance claim is paid to us. You will receive a refund equal to the amount received by us. This refund will be returned to you from us via paper check or paypal, whichever you prefer. We communicate with buyers about lost packages very quickly, but there is a wait time of about 30 days before an insurance claim can be initiated by us once a package goes missing. Then once we are able to do so, an insurance claim will be initiated by us. Once the claim is initiated by us, we both will have to wait for the claim to be processed, usually about 30 days.

Unpaid orders are not shipped.

Sales tax is applied to shipping addresses in CT State.
